Transportation info

Car:

The easiest and quickest route from Athens to Neapoli is via the highway A7 to Corinth and Tripoli. At Tripoli you take the direction for Sparta (follow the sign "Sparta No toll road) and after Sparta, follow the signs for Monemvasia. After Sykea village, you will turn right and follow the signs to Neapoli. Entering Neapoli, you will see the hotel at your left hand side. The distance from Athens is approx. 350 km., total driving time +/- 4 hours.

Another option is after Corinth to take the picturesque road along the coast through Argos, Astros, and Leonidio continuing through mountain roads passing the traditional villages of Kosmas and Geraki. Follow through to Skala, Vlachiotis, Molai, Sykea and finally Neapoli. This option is considerably longer through winding mountain roads (aprox. 370 km - 5 1/2 hours from Athens) but well worth the reward, with breathtaking natural beauty of both sea views, canyon passes and the mountainous landscape.

For visitors coming by car through Italy and the port of Patra, the distance from the port of Patra is also around 330 km and takes 4 hours. Leaving Patra on the way to Athens, you will turn just before Corinth to take the highway to Tripoli and upon reaching Tripoli, you will need to turn to Sparta (follow the sign "Sparta - No toll road"), from where there is continuous signaling for Monemvasia. After Sykea village, you will turn right and follow the signs to Neapoli. Again, most of the distance and more specifically from Patra till Tripoli is a highway (approx.180 km).

Our property can also arrange private transfers (taxi) from Athens. Please contact us for more details.
